Armor of God Series: Ephesians 6:10-13 (NKJV)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Paul tells us to be Strong in the Lord and in the Power of His Might. He is talking about during “this present evil age”. We are victorious today, by living in the power of His might, not our own.
He tells us to put on God’s armor - so we are now in His armor and using the Power of His might. And not just pieces of the armor, but the WHOLE armor of God.
And Paul goes on to tell us clearly that our warfare is not against people in this world, but against the spiritual powers that operate through people, and in spiritual battles.
And then he reminds us again to take up the whole armor of God and do all to stand, against all the devices of the devil. We have to do something here, we have to put on His armor, doing all to stand in battle.
