Armor of God Series: Ephesians 6:15 (NKJV)
and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
The ESV translation says “and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace”. The gospel is our guide, it equips us and makes us ready for battle.
Jesus used the words of the gospel each and every time the tempter came to Him in the wilderness (Matt 4:1-11).
Jesus responded with “It is written…”. While the tempter used the gospel out of context to try and trick Jesus, He was ready with the gospel, his feet were shod, and he responded with the truth to take down his attacker.
We must read, study, meditate on, and know God’s Word to be ready for battle, and to be ready to deliver the gospel of peace to others.
Read His Word today, allow Him to bring revelation to you through His guidebook for our Christian life. And experience the peace through Jesus, only He can bring so that you may share it with others. 👟📖
